[3]  E-mail Distribution List Update

Last week we updated our electronic mailing list based on information provided from the IEEE membership database.  As a result, many new e-mail addresses were added to the distribution list.  No addresses were deleted during this update.  Of those added, only members with active IEEE status who did not opt-out of IEEE e-mail, or section e-mail, were included.  If your current e-mail address is different from that which IEEE has on file, you may now be receiving these messages in multiple locations.

Please e-mail jason.reed "ąt" ieee.org or see the instructions at the bottom of this message if you’d like an address added or removed from our list.  Since these changes will take place again periodically in the future, it may be desirable to update the e-mail address on your IEEE profile, or indicate that you'd like to opt-out of section e-mail if that's the case.  This will help us in determining your contact preferences.

Jason A. Reed, P.E. - Media Chair

[2]  First Annual IEEE Summer Picnic

On Saturday, August 5th, the Alaska Section will hold its First Annual IEEE Summer Picnic at Kincaid Park.  This event is free to all members and their families.  Food and beverages will be provided, and there'll be lots of fun and games.  If you have any ideas for games and activities, you're encouraged to help us make this event even better!

Please send RSVP to Bogdan Hoanca by e-mail to hoanca "ąt" nero.scob.uaa.alaska.edu.  Please lets us know how many are attending and the ages of any children.
