The
Alaska Section of the Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers, Inc. will hold its monthly luncheon
11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16th , at the Sourdough
Mining Co. Restaurant, 5200 Juneau Street.
Bill Fernihough will be giving a
presentation entitled
"The
Art and Science of Apparatus Condition Assessment". The meeting is
free and open to the public. The cost for a buffet style
lunch is $15 per person for IEEE members or $17 for

Alaska Renewable Energy Fair
On
Saturday, August 12th, the 2nd Annual Alaska Renewable Energy Fair will
be held. This event is sponsored by the Renewable
Energy Alaska Project and will take place from Noon to
10PM on the Anchorage Park Strip, between I & L Streets.
This year's Fair will feature keynote speaker James Woolsey,
former CIA director, renewable energy demonstrations,
workshops, children's activities from 1:30 - 5:30, a Moose's
Tooth beer garden, films, craft & food vendors, live music
and more.
